Lloyd's Pizza is the only pizza place we order from in Waverly,Ohio and i think there are 5 other pizza places in town and none can compare to Lloyd's,they get everything right every time so a BIG shoutout to Lloyd's,Keep up the good work y'all.
Probably the best mom and pop pizza shops in southern Ohio. Original owner invented the Cardo's Pizza back in the 1970's, got bored and created Lloyd's Pizzeria in 2007. Under new ownership now but they even continue on the previous traditions. The Burger Sub is awesome, not to mention they now serve Foot Long Hot Dogs. The prices are very reasonable.
Lloyd's is my go to place for salads. They don't use packaged salad mix, everything is cut up fresh and you get a generous amount. They will mix my salad the way I need it and deliver it very quickly. I can't eat pizza, but I have had their subs in the past - always delicious and made to order. Their hot bread is amazing. It's all good at Lloyd's.
Lloyd's Pizza is one of those places that has roots deep in Waverly. The owner started the original Cardo's Pizza. You will find that the two share very similar recipes. Although in the past couple years I would say that Lloyd's recipe has changed a bit and not for the better. Compared to Cardo's their crust is thinner. Their pizza seems to be quite a bit more greasy than others. I enjoy getting the bread stick pizza but the dipping sauce they serve with it has a watery and slightly off flavor to it. It's not bad enough to take two stars away but if given the choice I go to Cardo's instead. Having said this, I will continue to come back.
Great tasting pizzas!! Lloyd was the originator of Cardo's Pizza and he certainly has stayed with the original way of making pizzas. If looking for the classic Cardo's taste Lloyd's Pizzeria has it. By far the best pizza place in Waverly.
